That might be because Shulie Ghosh now works in Doha with Al Jazeera.


I hadnt realised that Shulie had left. We seem to be losing a lot of presenters this year, from Ferlicity to Nick Owen.



I don't know if you've noticed but they did have a surplus of presenters due to them closing the News Channel. Unless they were going to have 4 presenters doing every bulletin it's obvious that loads would leave


Im talking about presenters on ITV1 not the ITV NC. Yes loads have left who did the ITV NC but Nick, Andrea, Felicity and Shulie all did bulletins on ITV1

Why is the ITV News studio lit such bright green for the chromakey? The other virtual studio manages much better with the dull green carpet, and that has no reflection on the presenters aswell! Strange. And surely its much easier to project the newswall images for the presenters on a darker surface?

Anyone know why?

On a similar note, why did the virtual CSOs change from blue to green a few years ago. Is it just a case of to allow presenters to wear blue shirts?

Two reasons for the generally accepted CSO colour change to green. Firstly, it allows presenters to wear blue clothes (which are obviosuly common). Secondly and more importantly, there are no green hues in most facial skin tones which makes keying people onto green easier. Blue does feature as a small component in caucasian skin tones, so green is 'further away' from skin colours than blue. In any event, most decent keyers can key onto any colour you choose.

Its nice to see James do other bulletins other than standing in on the 10.30pm. He did the lunchtime news one day this week as well.

With Alaister Stewart taking over the lunchtime news permanently now, will we see the likes of Chris Rogers standing in across the buleetins. I rate him a lot higher than Geraint Vincent.

Not keen on Chris Rogers im afraid. He can stay on the London bulletins. I like Geraint and id be happy to see him have a regular bulletin on ITV1. He is listed as doing next week's weekend bulletins I think in the Radio Times.

lol well I wasnt basing my choice on looks - but I think Geraint is very good looking and id definately prefer him to Mark Austin or Chris Rogers anyday.
