i can't think of any. Owen Thomas eventually went to daytime, but that was on the NC and after he went freelance - and never read any news on ITV1. They've used a multitude of reporters/freelancers since then. Denis Tuohy was the reverse wasn't he (daytime to graveyard)?

Not liking the new studio look, the yellow bars along the walls make it difficult to focus on the presenter.

Still liking the new look studio, it's just a pitty they didn't have it like this first time round, the ITV News Channel would have looked much better than those floating blue squares

The studio is looking a lot better since the departure of the teal background.

Although it would be nice to see consistency in the graphics - a blue colour scheme would probably match the studio nicely.

The set looks brands new again now, really fresh. The graphics on the newswall go so much better now. Love it.

The ITN financial graphics look dodgy in those caps, never mind full screen.

Surely it can't be that difficult to create something along those lines - don't they have them for the 10.30 anyhow - and I think the relevant markets aren't open in between so the rates shouldn't change!

I agree those financial graphics look like a cheap powerpoint slide!

Are they regular, maybe they were just a one off, anyone like to record the Morning News tonight to see

By the way they sometimes do have headlines at the top of the Morning News, it seems to vary for no particular reason

I've deleted my recording from this morning, but those graphics were part of a package/financial wrap voiced by a reporter (ie not Phil Gayle) which must have been repurposed from the ITN broadband/mobile channel.

Presumably designed for 4:3 and not taking into account possible use in ITV News 14:9 output on digital platforms.

I've set my EyeTV to record tomorrow as well.

It's good they've gone back to blue. Blue has always traditionally been ITV News's colour and they probably only changed it in the first place just for the sake of changing

Hasn't it been a general case of "swap with the BBC" - I remember that c. 1990 they had a beige studio, then switched to blue, then went to gold/orange/red (eugh), then back to blue, with the BBC going in the other direction shortly before or after each time?

They had a business news wrap, followed by the markets using the proper ITV News teal and yellow graphics this morning.

Not keen on the move back to blue, teal was better. The only positive is that the background seems sharper.
