I'm not sure about you, but the new tweak reminds me of the ITN 1995 studio look in a way.

Some caps from the Morning News. Interesting that they're now using the finance graphics from the ITN mobile/online news service.

As discussed here before, it's weird how they often don't have titles/headlines on the Morning News.

I never saw the clockface in the background before, but doesnt it defeat the object of at least attempting to make the background look real?

It's 'etched' onto the back window of the 'fake' atrium

The ITN financial graphics look dodgy in those caps, never mind full screen.


Surely it can't be that difficult to create something along those lines - don't they have them for the 10.30 anyhow - and I think the relevant markets aren't open in between so the rates shouldn't change!

Nice to see "Big" Phil on TV regualry again too. I hope he gets the deserved chance of moving up the pecking order at ITV news, to some daytimes??

Although can people name many morning news presenters that have presented later day bulletins? I can only think of Dennis Tuohy and Phil Roman
