Such a shame about the cringe-worthy emotive, sensationalist writing style they've adopted. It's lost all credibility as a "straight" news bulletin.
The scripts these days are appalling. Beyond parody. Ugh.

That was the best headline opener ive seen in a long while. I have already commented in the ITV idents thread, how good the yellow headline aston looks IMO, and what a good improvement getting rid of the greeg. Titles look a bit out of place now, maybe revert to the old Yellow and Blue colour scheme, with hints of teal?

I won't post my caps of the Evening News as the colours are entirely consistent with the Londoner's; a bit darker than the Lunchtime, heading towards purple.
Not that I noticed, (they probably would have drawn criticism had they done so).

Did the presenters say anything about the slight change studio?

Don't like the yellow straps at all - and am not overly sure about the changes to the studio really (didn't notice them initially on the Lunchtime News). Also all the graphics are now inconsistant!
I also think it be better if they'd got the clockface in the studio, rather than around it.
Personally I think they should use something similar to the VR studio with the clockface making up the floor.

Agreed. They look cheap and nasty, and do not fit in with the package at all. The inconstistency arose when the headline strap into the story remained the original green colour - which, IMO, should have been kept.
Like the studio though.

Looks good... slight change to the opening of the 10.30 news, we get Mark in-vision at the start of the first headline where it used to be a VT.
Am loving the studio, it looks fresh again, the teal looked a bit stale. All those complaints of the studio not matching the titles and graphics... well let me remind you that that's how BBC News usually do it
who can forget the beige titles for a few months after leaving the beige studio?
They just need to recolour the graphics and it'd look fine. In fact, I'd say redesign them, I ain't keen. They need simplifying.
