This is frustrating. Geraint is awfully bland, average looking, and poor at reading the news. He's a bit of a wannabe IMO, as he copies many of Mark's attributes, such as the way he projects his voice and does that creepy stance.

Since he has been on there I think there have been some new camera crew on roll because it's a little less organised than it was before with strange graphics and music not in time.

Not sure you can blame the camera crew for the organisation of the programme, the graphics or the music. Camera crews generally look after the shots...

Strange graphics and music not in time can hardly be the camera crew's fault - surely more a sound, graphics, vision mixing or directing issue...

Poorly framed, out of focus, or poorly executed camera moves could be the result of new or inexperienced camera crew - but not music or graphics!

Aint it about time they dont something with the atrium now? Its looking more fake everytime I see it. I think they should think of something else.

Nobody is under the illusion that it's real. It's the background to a news programme, and to that effect it serves its purpose.

Oh im sorry, thought this was a presention forum.

I still prefer the atrium view to the old graphics, even though it's fake it adds a depth to the studio that in my opinion was missing before. The only alternative I could see would be to have just a single newsroom behind.

Yep - at least the current background gives a feeling of depth - albeit fake. The previous virtual background was cold, flat and distancing, and - if anything - made the whole news presentation seem less real.

It also seems a bit odd when you have an experienced presenter like Mary with someone like Geraint, who has only started presenting recently. I haven't noticed a creepy stance from Mark or Geraint though, I must admit!
