Its not been cut due to X Factor, its just because of the Big Fight Live. Next week the X Factor is the same amount of time as this weeks but Parkinson and Afterlife are in the schedule.

Has Nicholas Owen returned to the Lunchtime News yet after his short lived ballroom career?

Or is he too busy auditioning up in Leeds?

Yes, he was on the other day. It was Geraint Vincent today, though.

I hardly think what she did was very good.

I only started watching part way thought it when the bloke being interviewed started saying that ITV had interviewed somebody but what he said didn't fit in line with the ITV story so they didn't bother to show it.

I thought the man handled himself very well considering the way the was being interrupted all the time. You can't ask a question and then because you don't like the answer being given change the question.

Heres the ITV Website for the story they were discussing.ITV News Story

A nice little behind the scenes story from the China week: http://www.itv.com/news/china_f572045b71694a09cb49a769c947feb6.html

Just wondering, is the ITV Evening News still being screened in the US on one of their news or public service stations. I know it was being shown a couple of years ago.

ITV being very clever for the background on the national news.
At the start of the bulletin it was using the light background with the buildings with the lights on. After the break the background has changed to the one used on News at 10.30.

Has anyone seen the full 1981 version of ITN News at Ten currently listed on YouTube (link below)?

It certainly brings back memories - "your newscasters" are Sandy Gall and Selina Scott. The truly Queens English and crystal clear pronunciation of the latter (Selina) certainly does make distinction between the style of yesteryear, compared with today's far more relaxed approach.

I grew up watching News at Ten religiously and was overjoyed to stumble upon this particular clip.

It is a full bulletin, segmented into 4 shorter slices, and features reporters such as Joan Thirkettle (RIP), David Rose, David Walter, Derek Rodger, Jeremy Hands (RIP), Desmond Hamill and Ian Edwards.
