It seems that HTV's Lucy Owen is presenting the national ITN news bulletins again this weekend!

Didn't know HTV still exist. Then again a lot of people live in the past, and can't accept changes.

I think you will find that HTV still operate the franchise to broadcast channel 3 to Wales and The West....

Just because they have rebranded it as ITV 1 Wales on-air doesn't mean it still doesnt exist!

I posted earlier in the week that Lucy would be doing the weekend bulletins - its says in the Radio Times. Lucy is becoming quite a regular ont he ITV News now.

Owan is quite right, HTV still exists, even though ITV brand it as ITV1 Wales and ITV1 West!

On ITN archive, HTV is referred to as "Harlech Television Company". If anyone's in the past, it's ITN. The company's official name is "HTV Group Limited".

See here for an example. "HTV" and "ITV Wales", however, are also mentioned on this page.

Lucy Owen just mentioned the Lunchtime News at 1330 as being the next ITV News bulletin, completely disregarding the Morning News. I actually watched the Morning News on Saturday and found it to be a better bulletin than the main three tend to be. None of those investigative filler reports - just plain news, as it should be.

Interesting from ITN.co.uk

5:30am The ITV Morning News
1:30pm The ITV Lunchtime News, with Nicholas Owen & Katie Derham
6:30pm The ITV Evening News, with Mark Austin and Mary Nightingale
10:30pm News at 10: 30 with Mark Austin

Still lists both presenters for the LN

Trouble with the Morning News is don't they repeat the beginning of the programme e.g. first report again at the end? I haven't seen it in a while but certainly with the 2004 look this was the case.
