Something I was wondering about that promo whilst watching it last night. It appears to be in full 16:9, with no black 'curtains' at the side like the actual bulletins, and the picture quality from the studio looks sharper, suggesting they're using proper widescreen rather than just arc'ing a 4:3 image. Can anyone confirm this... and if they can manage 16:9 for the promos, why not for the bulletins?


Because they only have to ARC one or two pieces of video instead of a whole prgramme of reports.

Is it just me, or did Julian Manyon seem really emotional while presenting his report from Jerusalem tonight - his voice kept breaking as if he were about to break down into tears; maybe it was just that ITV were so close to clenching yet another exclusive.

That's just how he speaks, he has a very shaky voice, just like Mary.

I see where you're coming from by watching tonight's report, yet last night's seemed a lot more 'dramatic'.

He is referring to your image - the new itv logo has itv and not ITV in it
