Is it me or does someone need to sort Nina's sound mixer out on the Evening News tonight?

She's been like that for a few days now, though strangely enough does not sound as bad on London Tonight.

Interesting to note that ITV News were about 30 seconds away from anchoring the bulletin from Studio 4 (London Tonight studio).

Also included in his blog is his take on the ITV News Bird Incident Room or whatever it is.

Its where they put Trev after his last show. Laughing

Interesting article from Media Guardian:

Quote:
A bidding war broke out among TV broadcasters today over mobile phone video footage of the anti-terrorist police raids in London's Forest Gate.

ITV News secured the exclusive rights to a member of the public's footage for a "substantial amount of money" and broadcast the 20-second clip on the lunchtime news. The pictures will appear again on this evening's bulletins.

And in a new move, ITV News distributed a leaflet in the Forest Gate area asking anyone with video footage or photographs taken at or near the scene to get in touch - the first time it has appealed for material in this way. The leaflet informed people "we will pay"

Not one to back down from a bidding war, ITV News, are they?!

Actually Jonathan, what I find stalkerish is the obsession on here with X presenters voice being different, so and so wearing this. What annoyed me about the original post was the bit "Late night? Laughing ".

I would also like to say at this point I will not take any criticism about being stalkerish from a user who previously was known as "me for nina", and from as I recall used to have an infatuation with said presenter, which WAS bordering on stalkerish in my eyes.

Now let that be an end to the matter.

Don't get cocky, I changed that name for a reason. You're not exactly high in the pecking order here (nor am I) so if you want to avoid some of the more dedicated users abusing you, then shut up.

Chris Rogers seems to be the utility player of ITV News at the moment. In midweek he was doing sport, now he's reporter being interviewed over the alleged terrorists.

Incidentally, is it me or is ITV News beginning to resemble Brass Eye? Their nigh-on opinion piece on 'spiralling knife crime' and some of the stuff about this Manchester shooting is heading dangerously towards parody. I normally prefer ITV to the BBC, but this is a little worrying.

Yes. Since Christmas there has been a marked change in the writing style. ITV/ITN still has some great journalists, but I find the bulletins almost unwatchable now.

I find it very odd. I thought that post-Nigel Dacre ITN had recovered the ability to do news that was populist AND credible.

Do they really think that this appalling sensationalism and toe-curling melodrama is going to win them a bigger audience? I thought they were doing OK as it was, with a narrow enough gap between BBC1 at 1800 and ITV's 1830 bulletin.

The 6.30 is still outdoing the 6 though, is it not?
