Yes, the duty London Tonight late reader (usually) goes on to present the Morning News.


And they usually present the GMTV Bulletins in London as well I think

Yes, I noticed that too.
It looked as if she wasn't wearing it properly, and there were a few wires hanging out.

It's a bit unusual seeing Trevor McDonald turning to light entertainment programming this evening. We are seeing a different side to him, he hasn't got a tie on for a start! Laughing

Should say that the Evening News will be at 7pm during the World Cup - whether there's football or not, for consistency i suppose. The regional news will be at 6.30 unless ITV have a 5pm kick off - in that case it will be on at 4pm. If you're wondering Emmerdale will be at 10pm.

The News at 7pm is a nice idea.

I read somewhere that they are considering making it a permanent thing to be able to put The Price is Right at 6pm, and that E'dale will be at 10pm during the football and then 8.30pm after that. Don't know where that leaves The Bill though.

Doubt it's true.

Im sure a rumour went around about 2 or 3 years ago about them moving the Evening News to 7pm

Indeed. Channel 4 have been doing it for decades!
