I think it unlikely that they would have used the second CSO studio for an ITV1 bulletin of that length, and the fact that "no cameras moved" is no indication of which studio was used at all. What Londoner says seems to be right:

ANYWAY - I agree that the 11:05 ITV News bulletin on ITV1 was from the second studio as they did use the tight shot throughout the whole programme. The opening shot was a static shot from above but could have easily been pre-recorded from the earlier bulletins which Im sure were from the 'theatre of news' studio.
The other give away was that NO cameras moved throughout the whole bulletin there was only the over-head shot looking down on the desk, the close shot of Andrea and one sideways shot for when she was talking to correspondants 'on the wall'.
All this led me to believe that this bulletin was from the second studio. BUT - the reflection on the glass was indeed 'reflecting' the cso background image aswell!

Anyway - the glass top of the desk is always the giveaway - if it's black and there's a reflection of the newswall then it's the main studio, and if it's white and you can apparently see 'through' the top of the desk to the walkway behind, then it's the second studio.

The weekend bulletins always look a bit more limited and static because they don't use the jib at all.

Have just seen a report on ITV Evening News about a mother who was jailed for murdering her baby and has now won an appeal.
When introducing the report the women presenting said:
"She had become another mother to be wrongly convicted of murdering her baby"
How can they say that? She is currently convicted of murder and until/if that conviction is overturned she is a convicted murderer.

A report at the end of the Evening Noos was talking about a baby who survived the Tsunami and there was a despute about the parents (which Dan Rivers actually said there were over fourteen women claiming to be the mother), but at the end of the report they had assumed the couple who tried to snatch the baby out of the hospital were its real parents?
