No, I just don't think that it's possible to have a fair and reasoned debate about ITV News in a thread that's populated by some of its most obsessive fans, that's all.

I have been looking at ITV's generic regional sets. Why is it that Central has a very high back on the chair compared to London and Merdian. I wondered why the shots are mostly made up of the chair viewing on half the screen! Central's floor is also poorly lit, while London and Meridian's floor is much better. I also like how Central's studio is capable of different colours for their programmes.

Crikey, is that Leyla Daybelge in that shot?!?

at least it matches with their look!

I like that, its better than the red, that I still don't understand!
Plus it makes a difference to just having a transparent black, and fits well with the current look.

Also looking at the briefing, they're using the Union Jack as a background, why can't they fill the wall with background like this?

The way they produce the briefing is great, now if they could do a bulletin like that I'd be impressed, with things jumping out everywhere, etc.

I thought the introduction of the red ticker was only for the American stories last week - the red reminds me too much of SKY¦News - or are they hoping to trick people into thinking they are wathcing SKY¦News?

Nazeem Najerri (sorry if it's wrong!) is doing the ITV News summaries on ITV1, not sure if she's on the News Channel too.

I haven't seen her before, but she's very professional, it's about time poor old Rachel was given a break, she seems to be on 7 days a week lately!

Nazanine Moshiri. She did overnights the week before last as well.

I thought she did 7 days on, 7 days off. That's how overnights have worked since the days when Owen Thomas and Sharon Grey did alternate weeks.

awwww i miss sharon, she was like a piece of furniture in my life back then. her and owen were always there for me. not forgetting karen - she mysteriously disappeared - then sharon was cruelly taken from us too
