I'd love to know how long his shifts are at ITN, he probably has to be there about an hour or two before Live with Alastair Stewart, that goes until lunchtime, then he has to do London Tonight at 6pm, which probably requires about an hour or two of rehearsals and then the ITV NC at 7pm.

He also does the 3pm London Today bulletin two or three times a week.

I haven't watched ITV News for a very long time.

Turning it on tonight, I know why.

It is the most painfully un-intelligent, tacky, cliché-ridden dross on television.

Oh, glory be, they now have music playing over their news reports. It just gets better.

Some people are afraid of a modern and fresh approach though, and afraid of change all together.

Didn't we have a very similar conversation like this a few posts back? I think ITV News is by far one of the best current TV news services

There is only one bad comment I have to say about ITN/ITV News and it is of their correspondent postings.
What I mean is that, for example, they don't have a Diplomatic Correspondent, which means their rivals who do have one will have an advantage over them.
Yes, I know it doesn't really a big deal with a vast amount of titles e.g. Royal Correspondent, Diplomatic, Defence Correspondent - left vacant by Kevin "what's happened to him nowadays" Dunn - but, like I say, it doesn't mean much as it might not affect their TV presentation.

Diplomatic issues are part of Bill Neely's remit as International Editor.
