ITV News channel messed up
They got back from the adverts at 23:59 and then the presenter talked and then they went live to Big Ben and they got the first bong and then the picture went with all nice colors on and said "NTL NEWMAN ST"

The ITV News Channel at Midnight was a classic. The minute the clock changed over to 00.00 they fell off air, leaving us with a NTL Newmman St Testcard!

ITV1 was uneffected. The ITV News Channel returned about 5 mins later with Romilly Weeks

The capture wasn't there when I posted, notice the edit.

I do wish that were true, then manybe things would be executed better like trailers, the use of 16:9 for adverts and trailers, with breakbumpers added, etc.

Hopefully something like that would have been the case, but what are the chances?

Also whilst I'm typing, when somebody was on about ITV News going 16:9, is there any chance that they could yet have the stories either in plain 4:3 or cropped, and then try and get as many 16:9 feeds for at least UK stories and O.B's?

The way they do trailers is quite poor with them seeming only getting supplied with a few ITV1 trailers.
Yesterday they played the trailer for
"Live with Mark Austin and Mary Nightingale, Weekdays 3 till 4 ITV News Channel" followed immediately by "Live with Joyce Ohajah, Weekdays 7 till 8 ITV News Channel"

That isn't the worst of it, during the early morning (if you're up) when they're playing no adverts, yet they're showing the News at 10:30 repeat or something, you tend to get aroun 4 of those trailers in a row. I wouldn't mind if they were different, but it's only the end, and due to the ever changing schedule they're hardly ever right. The Alistair Stewart one's the only one that right most of the time.

I have noticed that these people has not been reporting since November - as far as I know:
