well sightly off topic here but hell im confused enough as it is, this question evolves around ITV3 but contains a news aspect, oh hell to it.
- Does anyone know what/if any news aspect ITV3 shall have, Ive heard it said, and by some quite reliable people I would add, that there shall be a Newsnight type show, and regular news bulletins.

I had no idea they still ran that trailer. Does it still have music? When it started in Feb, they had loads of cameras and people in shot too, livens things up a bit, not like the BBC's remote cameras !

they sometimes use music but not all the time. the trailers are on most nights but sometimes they don't bother maybe they run out of time.

If ITN are desperate for News Channel presenters, why don't they use reporters like Paul Davies, Tim Ewart, Neil Connery, Libby Wiener, Caroline Kerr etc. ? Or is that just stupid?

Interesting that the ITV NC isn't simulcasting the late ITV1 bulletin tonight.

Who said they were desperate?

Anyway, you can't just chuck any old reporter and expect them to take to the desk immediately. Doesn't work like that.

Interesting to see the good use of the CSO second studio used on yestersays lunchtime bulletin with Shiulie Ghosh. When they have a live OB, it usually cuts straight from the newsreader to the reporter, but yesterday with the newly-improved CSO they were able to bring up Lauren Taylor on the newswall, albeit a very tight shot. But good to see it could be done if they are not in the main ITV news studio.

That same shot was also used for Today's lunchtime bulletin with a live interview with Jonathon Wills from Athens. Worked really well and most viewers wouldn't notice the difference! The chromakey was a bit dodgy in the reflection mind!
