It's not the first time she has been on the NC, she was on a few weeks ago with Andrew Harvey and Lucy Alexander as a guest sitting down. Apparently she is a reporter for London Tonight. I personally thought she left ITN since the BB had ended, that was nearly 2 and a half years ago now!
As for the NC being back on DTT, it has been rumoured to be back on Winter Hill and Emely Moor by November. (According to Digital Spy anyway)

Yes, she's been on quite often recently - but my point was that you don't usually get any reporters in the studio or other guests on a Sunday evening.
I've seen Jasmine present the Entertainment Update in between the films on ITV2.
Ah - I wondered if her reappearance at ITN was connected with the ITV2 showbiz service.
Much better to have her present the updates than uncomfortable-looking News Channel presenters in casual clothes.
Why do ITV2 only have Entertainment News Updates when they are showing a film, though? Surely better to make them a regular fixture like BBC Three's 60 Seconds?
DId my eyes serve me right tonight or did I see a breaking news strap on ITV News Channel concerning some earth quakes in North Japan. Flicking through the other news channels and no-one else was reporting this!
Ah yes just realised that it DID actually happen and the ITVNC were onpassing the breaking news just after eleven oclock last night (usually there are slugs/straps on other news channels at the same time but I didnt see any on BBCN24 or SKY¦News so assumed that ITV NC had got it wrong!

Also, whilst im here, the ITV NC opted out of the ITV1 Lunchtime News today to show the full 65 minutes of the media briefing with the Prime Minister. Usually they cut him off at 12:27 - I didnt realise they went on so long!

did anyone see the itv lunchtime news with a man sat at the newswall playing i think his chello but i don't know if i have spelt it right. he played them out to the news from around the uk at about 12:50. its the man who has hired out the great albert hall for one night for 50,000 pounds
Just had a look at that article about Carol Barnes -- it says she still presents ITN's 24-hour news channel. I didn't think she presented the ITV NC any more? I know she came back for the Iraq war, but I thought she had disappeared again since then.
