Anybody know the reasoning behind last nights bulletins? There was one 5/10 minute programme detailing the fire before OFI, and then the same after, in the usual slot...I really fail to understand why he first was necessary.

As the later bulletin was out of primetime I guess.

Is this the first OB Mary has hosted. It's usually Mark, but I think I recall Katie Derham doing one in Hyde for something to do with Shipman.

Mary hosted the Evening News from Heathrow on the last concorde flight back in 2003. Nicholas Owen was in the studio.

ITV News Channel is to be closed down at the end of January, threatening 70 jobs.

The broadcaster will immediately enter into consultation with unions about the scale of redundancies. ITN said it would try to redeploy as many staff as possible. More follows...

ITV do not know when to stop, look what happened when they axed news at ten they lost the confidence of the british public, now they may loose the confidence for good this time. The Live with Alastair Stewart programme is going to be a loss, a bad day for the itv news presentation team

What was the point in The Scott Crisholm Show? Will he just be aired on ITV2 on a morning or something?

That is a likely possibility - I cannot see why ITN would have brought in a new show when their NC was on the ropes anyway...
