I was referring to
some
of the stories that they cover, such as last nights article as well as features such as 'Tory Big Brother', which is often embarassing as I have said in this thread before, thank you very much.
If you take a look at the site, you will notice that it is mainly information regarding presenters, reporters and the schedule, and not the stories that are covered, with the exception of major stories such as 7/7.

Watching ITV News at 10:30...I had to pinch myself to see if it was real...
The top story - Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden in brawls with their respective partners. In a further twist, Ross's girlfriend is the editor of The Sun! Complete with link-up from outside The Sun's offices. Even the reporter said "you couldn't make it up".
The soldiers cleared of murdering Iraqis followed in second place, then more genuinely newsworthy items. To cap it all James Mates was presenting - sad to see a heavyweight of his calibre reduced to this after years doing World News on the Channel 4 Daily.
I would even go as far as to say the EastEnders story was engineered - certainly manipulated - for the top slot. If it needed mentioning at all it should have gone no further than the in-briefs; but once I'd finished chuckling I was genuinely shocked that ITN would put this ahead of serious world events. Perhaps others are re-evaluating their view of ITV's news provision after watching tonight.
Never thought I'd say this but perhaps the time has come for ITV to consider alternative news providers (not Sky); though they would almost certainly maintain the chav approach.

Erm, surely you've got this the wrong way round? ITN are only providing what the customer (ITV) wants.

Correct - it is not ITN at fault here. After all, ITN are responsible for making Channel 4 News, and you couldn't get more serious (in terms of journalism) if you tried. I suspect it is the bosses at ITV who are determining the agenda of ITV News.

There's been some nice use of the jib this week, with some different shots behind the cameras and above the cameras:
