Well, yes, maybe 10 years or so ago, but these days can't the person you're waiting for just ring you on their mobile and say they're going to be late, rather than your having to deduce it from the TV news?

How about people who are just about to go out?
You could say that there's no point having travel on Teletext in the evening because everybody is on their way home!
