And the only part of the main studio that is green is the video wall.

Who knows what will happen or when, for all you know the DS poster could be right (I remember reading here a rumour that the new branding would go live "sometime after the ITV 50 celebrations). Also, it is quite obvious that there will be only graphical changes to ITV News; a small change to the studio is possible, but there is no way they are going to scrap a set that cost them around £1 million.

Any ITV News revamp would require absolutely no change to the actual studio - they'd just need to adjust their virtual backgrounds and on screen graphics.
Personally, I think the squares background should have gone when ITV1 axed them - the wavy line version they use occassionally for stories looks far better!
I also don't like the window graphics with just the four boxes, as they are using now - I'd prefer something like they use on the interviews in reports, with a more abstract image and the four small boxes incorporated into it, with perhaps text over them!

Well if ITV are to ditch the 4 squares as their logo, then i'd imagine that regional news and national news etc. will all get new titles.

If they are getting a revamp, the whole planning and change in the regions, and nationally has been a waste. Like look at The West Tonight, that would only be on the air for 4 months and then it has to be changed again. They should try and keep it similar to what it is now, not go ballistic and create a totally different package that will require millions of pounds!
Just my idea, change the backdrop on the news wall
Make The regional logos, more regional (ie. dont show the UK map, lit up with the region) have it, a map of the region with the logo over it
