I'm very surprised no-one mentioned this, but Rik Mayall was on the ITV News Channel today, being interviewed by Steve Scott to talk about his latest book and his new ITV series, and all I can say is that it was one of the funniest things I'd seen in ages.

One would question whether Rik was p*ssed or not, but he was taking the mick out of ITV News' only viewer, admitted to Steve Scott he can't stand the Cricket, in a way he was being alot like Alan B'Stard, he also said that his new show was going to be called A Pile of Shít or something similar, but then made fun of the fact that the 'viewer' wouldn't have noticed the slip-up.

He also ended on another joke..... What's the difference between semen and the BBC? , but Steve Scott interrupted to say that he would find the answer during the break and would tell the viewers if it was rude or not, but he never did.

Plus Rik was giving dodgy looks at the camera in the way it zoomed out as the NC was going into a break.

Wonder what BBC NEWS will think.

Maybee she should do the One and the Itv evening News in the same day, now that would be weird

I'm sure there was a point at which Dermot Murnaghan was presenting the ITV Evening News and Breakfast for a short time before he left ITN completely. Can anyone remember this?

Nah he never did that. He left ITN in the summer of that year, and then after a period of gardening leave, turned up on Breakfast in September.

Didn't Steve Scott used to be on ITV News?

He's presenting Drive on Five Live with Jane Garvey at the moment.

Yes, Steve Scott does present ITV News. If he's turned up on BBC Radio 5 Live, then it probably means he's freelance.
