The BBC's Anna Ford will also jump channels, to present the ITV Evening News bulletin as a one-off..

Today's Morning News at 5.30 was presented by Isha on location from The Oval where the cricket is on today. Must say, she was very competent, wouldn't be surprised to see her moved to daytime on the news channel sometime soon.

Has the morning news done this before? Seems that they are putting a lot of effort in to an early morning news bulletin! What is around the viewing figs for ITV Morning News? about 100,000?

Not sure about doing the whole show on location, but have seen Owen Thomas reporting live from Downing Street on it before, with someone else presenting, although it was quite a while ago.

I seem to remember Owen Thomas presented the Morning News from Trafalgar Square once, on the day of the rugby world cup victory parade.

What are viewing figures like for the ITVNC on an average evening?

Unusual lineup this morning - Chris Ship on the Breakfast shift, and Ben Scotchbrook presenting 'Live with...'

Nice close to the Lunchtime News today. The camera panned round behind the presenters as they walked to the desk, and we saw the studio from the presenters view, with all the cameras.

I like the camera work now used on ITV News, it is a lot more imaginative than other broadcasters.

Sorry, personal taste only, but I hate this idea. They've taken what used to appear to be a huge studio (despite its actual size) and turned it into a broom cupboard. It looses all the illusion. And didn't showing the 'gubbins' go out with the blue BBC News circa '96?

Also they just used a snazzy animation thing I hadn't seen before to move from a live to a slide:
