They could still see them though, as they are faintly projected arn't they?
Yes, faintly. How else would presenters know what they are pointing at? I think it says something about that on the ITV News website when it discusses the newswall.
True, but I remember once Katie Derham was supposed to be doing a live interview with a reporter, their picture did not appear on the newswall yet she still talked to nothing it seemed.

That could be down to Katie following the rule book. She seems to me like the kind of presenter who would be told what to do and follow it exactly, and not think of something else -in this instance just look at the newswall anyway as if her life depended on it.
Andrea Catherwood comes across like that too (folloing the rule book as if her life depended on it) in my opinion.

Good to have her back, however, the ending style was a lot different, Mark & Mary went round to the sides of the desk and briefy Mary looked back at the newswall, as if looking at the ending titles, even though all that was there was green.

Four back-projectors provide low-level pictures to aid the presenter to interact more naturally with the virtual reality environment.

You and I have alway agreed everything from the beginning............the cheque is in the post. I agree with the comments about Mary's voice being "shaky". It has always been like this, for as long as I can remember. I don't think it's a nervousness thing per say, but rather it's just the way her voice is!
Nice to see her back. I just wish they were permanently sat at a desk though, and not standing at that wall!

I meant to say, it seems Nina Nannar is back. I'm sure I heard her sign off a report about Hurricane Katrina the other night. Anyone confirm it?
JO
I thought she was arts correspondant? I suppose it doesn't really matter as Martin Geisler (Scotland Correspondant) has done reports on Katrina. Will Nina be presenting news bulletins again, like back in the day?
