You weren't lying when you said you didn't like Nina.
jdtech, what an insensitive thing to say. The poor girl's had an ordeal, the least she'd be interested in doing is going into work for a bonus.. It's called being professional.

This weekend's ITV coverage of the post-Katrina situation has been a bit of a let-down after Friday's tour de force, with some very strong ITV1 bulletins.
They have well and truly been left behind by the BBC, Sky and C4 this past couple of days.
And as for the News Channel, they're usually quite good at punching above their weight and masking the huge gap in budgets between them and Sky/N24, it's times like this that that it's painfully obvious, with no lives (or practically none, anyway, save a few phonos) from the States at all outside the ITV1 bulletins, let alone any presenters on location. On the other hand, it's been interesting to see all the MSNBC and NBC stuff they've been showing.
It will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings, especially with it being the start of the new season, etc.

I quite like the way that This Morning can have a fluffy item next to a serious story like this and they let it run and run. Mark Austin was very relaxed and gave some interesting facts and stories about the hurricane disaster. Also in the advert break there was the promotion for the ITV News at 6.30.

Mark Austin is also back in London - he's a guest in the studio on This Morning.

I can't believe the amount of fuss that ITV are making over a news presenter returning from maternity leave!
It seems they want to reveal her at 18:30 rather than doing the 15:00 hour on the ITV News Channel.
PS Mark Austin has been busy today. He is getting really involved in the hurrican story. There is supposed to be a very harrowing report on tonight's evening news.

Not your everyday pair up on the News Channel. Mark Austin and Lucy Alexander. Sorry, I just thought it was strange to see. They must be saving Mary (who would normally do this slot) for the Evening News.
