Well presumably she needed no introduction to ITV1 Wales viewers, but she was namechecked by the London announcer.
Very well.
Mind you if the continuity wasn't done on Thursday [or whenever] perhaps Leighton would've mentioned it -- or is that more like an impression of someone who knows more than the viewer does?
I thought she came across v well, and all after not even being ill on Fridays for a while.
Seems young Jez seems keen to bump her off for Zoe Thomas anyway -- perhaps London can keep her.

Well not that you would know since she wasn't introduced in any way -- how rude.

So she's managed to jump right to the front and end up getting on ITV1. This could have been Owen Thomas's big break. Who else was on duty on the News Channel today, and who did London Tonight?

Lucy Owen doing the ITV Weekend News main bulletin, not just the summary!

Jonathan Wills did the London bulletins, as usual on a Saturday.
Faye Barker has also been on the NC. Not sure who else.
You might have thought John Nicolson would have be a contender to stay on after his NC show this morning to do the ITV1 bulletins.

Bump her off??? How rude. Well Lucy, Zoe and Justina are my joint fave newsreaders at ITV Wales really.
I dont mind if she goes to London or stays in Wales but Zoe would be a more than capable replacement.
Cant wait to see Lucy do the ITV News at 10 tonight - from GMTV Wales bulletins back in 1995 to the ITV News at 10 in 2005.

At least ITV News acknowledged Wales were also playing in that match! The BBC was all England this, England that!
I guess now for Wales it's on to Operation Lose a Lot - basically lose all our remaining games to give those that can stop England qualifying a much better chance!
As for Lucy Owen - good to see her on the national news, but now she's hosted it does that mean she will be pregnant within the month?

Ex HTV peep Helen Callaghan reporting on the football too, so at least the script wasn't as emotive/biased as a BBC bulletin might have been [which pleases Lucy].
