Yes,I notice when they were talking to him they used the LIVE graphic at the top left hand corner...I must admit thats the only niggle when the ITV News graphics launched that the LIVE slug only kept on for around 5-7 seconds not very long..

ITV News seems to have posted quite a few correspondants in the US!

Mark Austin, Bill Neely, Alastair Stewart, Robert Moore, John Irvine.

I think there was one more but can't remember their name!

When the slug is not on and they use an aston it just has the ITV News logo in the top 'half of the aston. No squares.

No, that's nowadays. When they first launched, it stayed on the screen in most cases right to the bitter end of that report.

What the hell was that? After Granada Reports, there was half a sting with a bong and Mark Austin launched straight into the programme. No headlines whatsoever. What a rubbish start.

I like that, I hate live dogs on all the time, especially with name places, I always liked that ITV always have quick live astons.

Sorry to drag up an old topic again, but can anyone remember what the theme was called for the 'body politic' item back before the General Election?

I wonder what's happened to Alastair Stewart? He was in Washington for last night's 10.30, but Martin Geissler's doing the honours there today.

Presumably he's travelling to the affected area? Maybe to do some location presenting?

Bit pointless to cross the Atlantic for the sake of one 60-second two-way!
