They seem to be having autocue problems tonight - Ben Scotchbrook has been reading from his paper scripts since the top of the hour.

Yeah, no ticker or that annoying yellow box. Looks better like that!

Well the ticker's off for a start, and there's no yellow story slug.

There seem to have been a few CSO problems too, before 8 with Felicity and since 8 with Ben.

Looks so much nicer. Reminds me of when News 24 'lost' their ticker.

Talking of the ticker, why don't they change the colour to the one the Pulse (on the Lunchtime News) uses? Looks so much nicer than that awful red.

And still, why haven't they re-aligned the Pulse's ticker? I know they changed it because it didn't fit on 16:9 sets, but they put it too high and now it's in line of the main aston's description area.

I wish Ben Scotchbrook would quit fidgeting with his hands, it looks so awkward esp when he opens and closes them.

I'd have presumed that it was a 'News just in' thing when I put it on at 8.00pm, with the Al-Qaida video being the Breaking News, albeit no BN astons or anything.

Anyway, it was a very good Evening News tonight, you had to feel sorry for Mark Austin and Robert Moore, both constantly getting cut off due to the bad Weather, especially how wet Mark was.

What happend when the straps come up because usally the straps start from the yellow story box ....did they instead show the ITV News then the squares underneath ?

Is the problem with the Auto-cue and the straps still going on ? Any chance of a cap...Its not urgent or anything but I dont have SKY or anything . Laughing
