Although I do not think a new ITV News thread should be created, I do believe a separate ITV NC should be set up as this thread does get quite a lot of interest. itsrobert, your thoughts on that?

Everytime one gets set up, it gets locked. Maybe we should start one, but this time start with sensible comments...

The only time there has been one whilst i've been here, it was a duplicate ITV News thread, so I see no reason why not, as BBC News has a 'News 24' thread.

What's wrong with everyone? A new ITV NC thread is pointless. There's nothing wrong with this thread, and there's so much overlap between the network news and the NC that it will just lead to arguments about whether things are in the 'right' thread or not.
Yes, there's been a flurry of messages about the NC today, but many weeks the existing thread only grows by 2 or 3 pages.
As for this thread being 'bulky', there's really little difference in navigation whether a page has 5 or 555 pages.
The heat has obviously addled everyone's brains.
