Didn't Nicholas Owen do yesterday's Lunchtime News? James Mates did the 10.30, but I'm sure it was Nick on at lunchtime.

Does anyone know when Trevor McDonald will be returing from his annual summer leave? He's been away for quite a few weeks now.

I guess it will be on Tuesday, when the new 'season' on TV begins, as ell as Austin. I would expect Nightingale back then too, but that seems unlikely.

James Mates and Mark Austin are sharing the 10.30 duties this coming week. But the following week may well see a return to 'normality'.

The new season starts first Monday in September, which isn't this week

At the start of todays main bulletins with Felicity the anamation on the news wall is not showing up (It should show the clock for the other headlines)

Does anyone know what the programme is on the News Channel this morning at 10.00 AM? On Sky, it is listed as 2005 ITV News Mon 1000 then it is on again at 11.00 AM. Is this is simply a listing mistake?

Owen Thomas is on The ITV NC today and he is very good.
I liked the way he said, "we will keep dropping into our sister channel MSNBC for more live coverage and keeping you uptodate with the information coming into us at ITN providing you with the most uptodate coverage, here, on the ITV NC."

I thought the way he got ITN into it all was acceptable and great to hear people (and presenters) still mention it.

Fantastic presenter.. Just said after coverage from MSNBC of the hurricane, ''that's why I stopped being a reporter and became a presenter!''
