Yeah, that was some close all right - what a great director! I'm actually surprised they didn't waffle for a bit longer, but I'm not complaining. I thought that they might just fade into the ITN endcap, as they had cued up the closing titles incorrectly, but, alas I was wrong!

I suppose it's a "because she can" kind of thing.
I'm glad to hear that - they used to do that a lot at the relaunch, and you got the feeling it was just going to drop off the air at any moment without the end credits. I thought nowadays though the credits were given next to no time at all to run!

Does anybody have a video of tonights ending?
I thought they would just walk straight to the desk, I remember a long time ago Andrea and Bill presenting they had long end titles but they walked straight to the desk and they nearly walked off set
But tonight Nick and Nina sort of halted half way down the walkway and started talking

I also remember when they were presenting once, they walked to the end and Andrea sat down. Makes it more interesting, thank god for the theatre of news! I think when Mark takes over the 10.30, he should stand up at the end and do more moving about. ITV News has changed the way news is presening, so much more exciting than sitting down for a full half hour.

Wouldn't it be great if at the end, we could actually hear what the presenters are saying. I remember Jane Hill did this on the weekend news a few weeks ago. And Charlotte Leeming from Look North used to do this, especially after the weather. She would turn to the weathergirl and say something like 'so a nice day' then we'd cut back to Breakfast. But I guess it's at the discretion of the producers.
