I do remember this. It was the aftershow party of the National Television Awards [2000?] after Michael Barrymore accepted an award on-stage from Trevor McDonald - who actually smiled for once for Barrymore's "games" and made the ITV Nightly News be later than expected - Barrymore picked up Mary Nightingale and you got to see her undergarmets, or was it lack of them? It made the papers the next day.

Well he's being described as 'Political Correspondent', and Alastair didn't say the kind of "now to Scotland Today's Rae Stewart", so is he a new addition to Network, as well as Daisy Sampson?

They call him political correspondent when he appears on ITV News at weekends too - the same with ITV London's Simon Harris, who often does national duty at weekends.
I should think it's more to do with it being mid-August, people being on holiday and the Westminster unit being short-handed anyway until Bradby and McAndrew (née Sampson) take up their posts.
