Apologies; didn't see that post.

If Mark Austin has been confirmed to have 'won' the 10.30 and kept the 6.30, then why are ITV News still experimenting, with Steve Scott and Alastair Stewart? I was personally gutted when Austin was given the 10.30. Many people would much rather the position be given to Alastair, and ITV's decision has again showed the corporation to be sexist. We have a woman doing the 10.30 about once every three months, I think the last time was Nina Hossain, whereas over on BBC1 Fiona Bruce frequents the 10 o clock news.

I totally agree with the previous posters - Alastair Stewart should be the front-runner to take over the News at Ten Thirty.

The recent bulletins have demonstrated how good he would be at the helm.

David Mannion should consider a rethink.

James Mates is doing the 10:30 tonight. Chris Rogers just showed what a talented journalist he is, again. Get him out of the decaying ITV News Channel and put him on ITV1, he suits it much better.
