Saw a few minutes of the Evening News before, I'm sure they were using a different background to normal. It looked more like the one used on Calendar, and a lot darker too. The 4 squares looked shinier, and there was no text either under one of them like usual. Anyone else see this or am I imagining things?
well i feel the whole newsroom looks a bit different. i just cant put my finger on it. i think the darker background is right.
why on earth did they change the background for the lunchtime news! i've seen the reason but WHY! IT LOOKS SOO MUCH MORE BETTER!
the darker background is right - it matches with the atmosphere of the studio, and the colour of it. It looks much more pro. With the white background, you can pick out the green tints around the studio more, and it looks very fake, as with the dark blue background the colour tone is exact, and matches with the rest of the studio, and looks right and real.
With the news channel having a new editor I wonder if we will see a new presenter schedule... The current setup still has it's weaknesses and nothing seems to have changed for a while. Katie Ledger seems to be used quite a lot at the moment - wouldn't be surprised to see her in a permanent slot. Haven't seen the old fillers like Sasha Herriman, Heather McCarthy, Owen Thomas or Chris Rogers much recently.

did anyone get any captures of the 2 minute silence on itv 1 especially the shot of the studio with no presenter
Well Katie Ledger was on this morning so her and Lucy have probably just swapped or something. When I can't do a shift where I work, I swap it with someone else, I'm sure it's much the same at ITV News. Probably wouldn't read too much into it.
