Tonight's Evening News had a very funny bed... it was like a slowed down version of the intro headline bed (after the first bong)...

John

It was used on last nights News at Nine with Trevor.
When was the last time it went back to the News at Nine?

Was it the Iraq war?

Think so.

The one on the London terror attacks wasn't billed as News at Nine at such, but it started at that exact time, so I just referred to it as that.

News at Nine the other day got 5 million viewers, pretty respectable I think.

I think that nine would be a good time for ITV to have their main bulletin, I just don't think 10.30 is the right time. I know it wont happen, but it would be nice if ITV could realise that they do have a good news service, but it is just not going out at the right time. ITV usually excel themselves when it comes to a story like this, and I don't see why they can't do it everyday.

Nine is too close to seven (when the Evening finishes) though.

News at Nine was only around for the Iraq War though wasn't it?

But in those days the ITN News was at 5.45?

How about the News at Nine Thirty? Fits in with the timing of other ITV1 bulletins... Gives two one hour slots & one half hour slot after the Evening - and more between 10 & 11...

Leyla Daybelge & Lauren Taylor have both presented ITV1 Weekend Bulletins (both the Lunchtime, Evening & Late) recently... so should a footnote be added?
