Is it just us Telewest viewers (or indeed just me) who have a nice colourful 'Phillips' style test card instead of the ITV News Channel?

Certainly looks that way!! I'm on Telewest and turned to the ITV News Channel to see a breakdown caption and some music

Just out of interest has ITV News dropped UK Today? I haven't seen it on there for ages. Though I know since 11th April they wouldn't have been able to the 3.20pm UK Today as there was no 3.00pm ITV1 bulletin from then onwards.

I thought they were a waste of time them uk today segments they look at only 3 regional newsrooms each time - whats the point. Why not have it like
0700-100 Breakfast thingsabob what they call it these days
1000-1200 Live with Alistair Stweart
1200-1230 News
1230 - 1330 Lunchtime News
1330-1430 News
1430 - 1500 UK Today (similar to ITV News Network)
1500 - 1600 Live with who ever is presenting the evening news
1600 - 1730 Live with Steve and Felicity
1730 - 1800 News
1800 - 1830 a regional bulleting with the top story in the national news
1830 - 1900 Evening News
1900 - 2000 Evening News Extra
2000 - 2100 World News
2100 - 2130 News
2130 - 2200 UK Tonight (replacing ITV News Network)
2200 - 2230 News
2230 - 2300 News @ 1030
2300 - 0000 Live News
0000 - 0530 Short updates with the best of the previous days interviews.etc not just repeats of the 1030 bulletin

Nice change today on the ITV NC, never seen it before... Owen Thomas presenting on his own but Jonathan Wills doing the sport news. Just saw JW running off the set behind a guest being interviewed though...!

personally don't like Owen at all. If I had my way I would confine him to LT which he does quite regularly.

Yeah they seem to do that when two males are presenting together - instead of both of them at the desk, one does the desk stuff and the other does any newswall presentations, plus the sport, headlines etc.

did anyone else notice the lower-case lettering used on the straps during the headline sequence on ITV1 this evening? I wonder why they decided on a change...

I noticed that too. I think the usual style looks better.
