Yes, so in terms of Alaistair, considering ITN have had a lot of interest in him for ITV1 News in the past few days, could this mean he's a real contender for a slot when the shakeup comes about in the Autumn? i would love it if he is.

Just referring to Trev's retirement. It could (and probably will) have consequences on the LN and EN, and so Mr. Stewart could be a contender, along with Bill, James and Steve

I've always thought that Al should have got the job in the early '90's. Trev has always been too wooden for my liking.

They may also be interested in having Dermot back - articles have said that he is still popular within ITN, but maybe a sweetner of a move to the BBC six, will keep him at BBC News.

I too think Alistair Stewart should present the LN.

The ITV Viewer Relations line now confirms that the ITV News Channel on Freeview in the Meridian and Anglia regions will not be back until the end of July 2005 - so much for "early 2005".

another repeat of last week just before Dimbleby today; the summary ended late, the sponsor cut it off right at the end, the clock popped up briefly before Becky, who just stood there for ages before being cut off at the end as well.
terrible... (actually a bit of a treat!! Very Happy )
