Yeah exactly, a world of blue cubes are animating and then the world fades in and a modified edition of the normal titles is played.

Does anyone know the screen ratio for the ITV Regional news studio screen? It deffinatly is wider than 16:9.

You mean the Plasmas? Or the actual output of the programme, the programmes are broadcast in 14:9... I don't know about the Plasmas...

No Nicholas Owen today for the Lunchtime News...... Alongide Katie Derham, her co-presenter will be Alastair Stewart.
Now to my recollections, Alastair has not done the weekday ITN lunchtime bulletin since at least October 1992.

With it being a London Tonight pairing, it seems Alastair thinks so as well - in the summary at 10:55 he read the email address as pulse[at]itvlondon.com rather than @itv!

Im glad someone else noticed that! I thought it was my hearing going a bit adrift!

This must surely be Alastair's first non-election broadcast on ITV1 network for over ten years?

Glad to see him back and I'm sure him and Katie will get on well - probably much better than Nic and Katie.

Nope. he did quite a few bulletins on ITV1 during the Iraq War

Oh...I can't believe I missed it - is there any listings in RT or elsewhere that they are doing it again together in the near future? or do you think from alastairs's allegedly good performance on the LN today that he may present again sometime soon?
