Yes, but you have to remember, just because he isn't presenting, it doesn't mean he isn't in working in the newsroom. He is an assistant editor on the News at Ten Thirty, so presenting isn't the only thing he does.
The main ITV1 anchor coming in to work on days when he's not presenting? I very much doubt that!

Nope, but you didn't miss anything, it was just clips of News events, with Trevor McDonald being interviewed throughout, though he was being slightly OTT about ITV IMO and you could tell that he isn't keen on the whole Theatre of News look, he didn't say that, but there was a hint when they mentioned New Technology.
