I woke up just before 8 and they were in the main studio. Between 8 and 9 they were in the virtual studio, then from 9 till the ITV1 programme started they were in the London studio.

I see that the camera viewfinder shows a fully composited image. One assumes each of the cameras have their own VR preview then?

i think ITV News are jumping the gun a bit with regards to this Malcolm Glazer take over of Man Utd. He hasn't actually taken full control yet - which is what they are continuing to suggest.

I wish the News Channel would make new trailers. They have just had one for Nicolas Owen saying weekday 12.30 until 2.00. This trailer is now completely out of date, he no longer presents until 2, surely it would be better to play the trailer for the new itv Lunchtime News than this same old boring trailer. Also last week itv played several trailers advertising the 3 - 4 slot on the News Channel with Mark Austin and Mary Nitingale. Mary still has not returned full time, and has only done the election coverage. Surely while this advert is inaccurate it should not be played.

he has taken full control technically speaking hasn't he? since yesterday, glazer has held a majority of shares, which is what ITV News is preety much saying.

Steve Scott is doing the News at 10.30 tonight.

I'm sure he's done a 10:30 on a friday before, but it could have been good friday, for all that I remember.
Plus he presented the Lunchtime with Andrea Catherwood today.

Does anyone think they may use Steve Scott to replace Mark Austin on the evening news when Mark takes over the 10:30 job from Trev
