They might want to sort that out if they want people to think the virtual studio is the Theatre of News...

Not "problems" as such - it's always like that in the second virtual studio. And I'm sure that 99% of viewers don't notice the lack of reflections.

I couldn't help but notice earlier that Lucy Alexander was presenting a programme about Computers on CNBC Europe, does this mean that she is contracted to ITN, or freelance?

i wonder if there are any itn insiders on this forum. we all want to know what is going on where the desk should be. lets hope a wide shot of the studio is shown by accident.

will anyone be able to get some good captures of the itv lunchtime news and upload them
thanks

Well that's a Yes and No sort of thing, if a News event happens in America, then ITV usually goes to NBC for Reports and what have you, same again if NBC want some info on a UK Story, then I think ITN is their first choice. (Note ITN, not ITV)

Where as the thing I watched Tonight was more like a corporate video/BBC World programme, but it wasn't made by CNBC.

I've posted some more caps in the election thread.

It'll raise some interesting consistency issues when they go back to the old-style desk in the virtual studio.

Is the desk a permanent fixture until the election, or will the normal desk come back for ITV 1 bulletins ?

Is the new desk the sale height as the normal one? As the 'reflection' starts too low down in this shot:

So how come Alistair Stewart is on early this morning is this a new time for the show or is the show being extended for the election campaign.
