Ah good, I'll be able to re-capture those extended titles!

Don't those appear every day at 12, 6 and 10, when there is no overhead establishing shot in the virtual studio?

Ah, thanks, I'm not usually watching the NC at those sorts of times.... I'll keep a look out for them then! Its a shame they cut it off, I wouldn't mind having the whole thing so I can reverse it for use on my *projects*... In fact clean copies of the ITV News titles would be very welcome - I'm talking graphics here...

Talking of DOG safe graphics, I think they should make a different 'News Channel' set of weather graphics... they way the DOG clashes with the "ITV Weather" slug is horrible...

Anyway, problems with the desk on LWAR.. you could see through it! Confused

They might want to sort that out if they want people to think the virtual studio is the Theatre of News...

We don't get ITN out here. Was just curious...........

Is there any chance at all of Angela being used on more of ITN's output? Is her "Live" programme heavyweight, or just typical Sunday lighweight / tabloidy / mumsy stuff??

I doubt it.

It's a real mix of everything. Sometimes it feels a bit sluggish (the interviews can be quite long, and there is a fairly low story count), but on other days they get the formula right and it's a really good programme.

It is actually rather like a Sunday broadsheet- the latest news, with views and interviews, some lighter reports, and the latest in property.

Similar to BWF over on the BBC then, or doesn't she have as many high profile names????

Well I think it is a more relaxed version of Alastair Stewart...

Its a shame that is all she does on the News Channel, I think she is very good!

On a 'normal' week (ie no papal death and no royal wedding) Angela often records a few big-name interviews on location during the week.

Her studio guests aren't always A-list types but they are usually well-chosen and good value.

I've noticed recently that they've also made much more frequent use of guests contributing from regional studios on Angela's programme - for example this morning on the Rover story they had a guy from Birmingham chamber of commerce sat in the Central West studio.

Good to see them take advantage of the resources - on weekends the first regional bulletin isn't usually before 12 (regular times - Sat 12.35, Sun 1.45).

The strange "election" flooring was just in view again for the main bulletin tonight- there was a stationary shot for the close and Andrea walked off to the left as a pose to down the walkway.

Also, good to see ITV News have 'elected' their own correspondents for the next four weeks; John Ray will be following Labour, Libby Wiener with Conservative and perhaps surprisingly Geraint Vincent for the Liberal Democrats.
