Fancy seeing an ITV News Report last night, almost breaking into the closing credits of the preceding programme "Hit Me Baby One More Time Results" on ITV.
It has been officially confirmed that ITV1 beat the BBC to bring you the announcement of the death of the Pope.
The ITV News Report was presented by the weekend news presenter on duty, Steve Scott.

Hmm. Your style is suspiciously similar to maximus, Newsman.

Where did you read that? Not that it was a race anyway but they didn't, BBC1 were about 30 seconds ahead of ITV1

And who is this person that made the 'official announcement'? What you have said there is absolute sh*t! BBC1 announced the death immediatly after Casualtys closing credits, at 21.10, and it was at least another 3 minutes before ITV1 flashed up a report after Hit me baby ended at about 21.13. In any event, whatever the exact times were, I am telling you now that ITV1 broke the story after the BBC, and if you really want to be pedantic about who broke the news first on terrestrial tv, it was Five!

Listen, I don't bloody know who Newsman is. There is no connection. Hey, Londoner your style seems similar to Andrew.
Finally, I know how to spell and where to put my punctuation marks. I passed English exams successfully and that is how I know how to write.
Maybe it is the same for Newsman. Is it, Newsman?

I saw the full versions on TV Room... wonder why they went for a still image - to reflect the mood perhaps?

Sorry, I'll finish off what I was meant to write:
The 'fake' message I gave you came from ITV plc. But, then again, they will say information which can be misleading.

Isn't there an Edit Post feature?

Are you sure ITV wasn't refering to the news channel breaking the news before BBC news 24 or something like that.
They always seem to shout it from the rooftops when they break the news before the BBC

I wonder whether there will be a ITV News special on Friday for coverage of the Popes funeral
