It does seem like they have been rehearsing loads, but why would they be altering the set if it was rehearsals for the lunchtime news?
Cant see them having a different set everyday for the new lunchtime news!

I would love to know what that strange object is on the floor. Also At the end of the show she didn't walk down the middle walkway, but the side - very slowly.

It's apparently part of the set for ITV's election night special, for which rehearsals have been under way for a number of weeks.

Looking at the stage you can see a rounded letter e, and also could be a letter v there as well.

We've been seeing an extended part of the ITV News titles on the NC today, plus the presenter VO keeps going on after the first headline...

There looks a white sheet placed over the walkway! But why that big plater and why cover up the walkway.
Also: Notice the new, what looks like Plasma screens above where the live video usually appears to the left of the newswall, must be so that the presenter can see who they are looking at. I will try and get a grab.

did they show a wide shot of the studio and did they zoom right out at the advert break. i think it looks a mess to be shown on national television. it never effects the evening or news at 10:30. does freddy know anything.

I'm guessing the white sheety yokes are used for the women - those with heels are always clacking distractingly as they walk along...

It is so contrived that all you're doing is wondering how it's done, if an image cue's going to be messed up, or hoping the whole CG will fail
Having the sports presenter hanging around behind the key anchor I find particularly silly.
Still, excellent images here!
