How about this: ITV1 ditches Nightscreen [what is the point in that programme - who likes it?] and puts on another episode of I Want That House or Trisha? Or better yet, how about Boot Sale Challenge - anything but ITV Nightscreen. Does anyone agree for that and for Night Time to come back and to sort out the overnight ITV1 "programmes"?

What's that got to do with ITV News ?

Oh sorry, I forgot to write the other half I was going to write - I was saying put the ITV News Channel on to replace the "quality" programming. And for it to be live.

Since when has ITV Lunchtime News had a regional opt during the headlines? I only noticed it yesterday.

It's been happening for a month or so now.

Makes sense - adds consistency with the 10.30.

Just watched Owen Thomas at 7 on the News Channel doing a big showbiz segment with a film critic. He made me laugh out loud with some of his comments on films... he always seems to have the right tone whatever the situation.. he'd be great presenting something like GMTV imo.

Slightly dodgy map of Spain just now whilst covering the ETA blasts - they placed Santiago de Compostela half-way down the eastern side of Portugal, roughly where Badajoz is.

And the slug said "SPAINISH BLASTS" [sic]

(The other day during a weather story the slug was actually "WEATHER SLUG")

She presents ITV Wales News, and has made a couple of weekend appearances on the News Channel recently, including today.

I see that she's 100 to 1 to replace Trevor McDonald Laughing

Ive noticed ITV News are using slightly different graphics for reports, more like the background on the newswall now.

Yeah, the new-style CSO backdrop for interviews is nice. Makes a change from the usual views in and around 200 Gray's Inn Road...

Though I did notice one package recently just had the green screen as the backdrop, but later in the day the graphics had been added.

They sometimes use versions of it on the News Channel for interviews from Millbank when they don't want the usual Westminster Eye view

And good to see the Steve-and-Felicity partnership on ITV1

How long till Steve Scott gets a go at the Evening News or another weekday bulletin?

Steve as already had a go at presenting the evening news with Katie Derham a few weeks i think at the beginning or mid July, though i would like to see him present it more often, i find steve better at presenting than james mates or some of the other presenters they have as stand ins
