Only bit that caught my eye was 'News 3 offered a completely new multi-platform studio based at the Newcastle Chronicle offices'. I wonder if from reading that, it'll be the end of the most modern tin potting-shed on an industrial estate in Europe already. That was shortlived!

I remember going round the Chronicle office on a school trip about 10 years ago and the main memory was the incredible heat of the building. They claimed the printing presses meant that it was near impssible to keep it cool.
Having said that I always liked the coffee tables made from the big old printing presses with a bit of glass on top. A nice touch.

No, this is genuinely happening. Also, the output will revert to 4:3, hence the aspect ratio of that image.
