I wonder, does this mean new titles, or will they just use the Weekend ones for a few months and they move it back to 12.30?

Will it be the one presenter format again?

I hope its one presenter - doesnt need 2 presenters for a half hour bulletin during daytime, especially as part of it will be taken up with regional news.

If it is one presenter I expect it will be Nick - so I wonder what Katie will do then?

I think they should stick to two, it seems more type of cosy?? Like the little banter after some reports etc.

I agree, IMO one presenter bulletins make the whole scene seem a little 'wooden'.

London Tonight plus stand-ins for Nick I should think.

So it's making way for the Price is bloody right initially then!

No reason why it couldn't air at 12.30pm, with Loose Women following at 1pm as it used too!

Well I dont think a half hour bulletin which will have about 10 mins taken up with regional news, needs 2 presenters. The 10.50pm doesnt.

I expect they want Loose Women to inherit viewers from This Morning.

I expect it's about audience retention (isn't it always). This Morning gets quite healthy viewing figures, so figure they'll get some inheritance from that for Loose Women.

They can use ITV News as a 'loss leader' against Neighbours, in the knowledge they have no chance of winning that slot anyway.

If it sticks to a straight news agenda it should be a much improved bulletin, the hour long edition was awful, features like Life Matters and the Pulse were not needed.

Any news on what is happening with the regional news? Im sure it was mentioned a while back that the reason they were allowed to drop the 3pm bulletin was because they were increasing the length of the lunchtime news.

MMm, maybe ITV will use the excuse that it will enable them to put their resources into their flagship 6pm regional bulletin. You know, the excuse they used to increase the number of pan-regional bulletins in daytime and at the weekend.

Wouldnt be surprised, but doesnt offcom have to give them permission to drop regional news bulletins. If they cut the lunchtime bulletin from 14 minutes to say about 7 then they will be losing over half an hours worth of regional news every week.
