I suppose it's best all round if the news moves to 11pm.

However, 6.30pm would be too early then to show News. I would suggest a slight tweak of:

6.00pm Regional News
6.30pm Emmerdale
7.00pm ITV Evening News
7.30pm Coronation Street / Regional Programmes
8.00pm The Bill / Tonight / etc
9.00pm Drama / Film
10.00pm Continued from above / Drama etc
11.00pm ITV Nightly News
11.35pm etc...

Why would it be too early? At 7pm, they would be going head-to-head with Channel 4 News

I would put an hour - long Evening News on at 6pm, and the main regional news at 7pm. Then start the evening schedule at 7.30pm. The I would have News at Ten back for 30 mins.

The idea of news at 5:30pm, 8:30pm and 11pm is a good idea.

However... this is what I want. I want 30 minutes of news between 10pm and 11pm. I personally think what they have now is ideal. And if they want to make and changes, i suggest they move the 10:30pm bulletin to 10pm. 11pm is too late. 9pm is too early, and wouldn't work as detailed previously.

That would be OK for ITVplc regions but for us here in UTV Land it would mean news from 5.30 until 7.30, plus a carppy filler programme at 5pm. I think the 6.30 national news is fine. Move and keep the late news at 11pm, that way it leaves loads of time from 7pm until 11pm without breaking up films with the late news.

.....yes, about 3 a.m. is the best slot for her..............imagine having insomnia and having to watch.............only joking. Only joking. calm down all those who are going to start banging the keyboard. She actually would make a good choice for the late news.

No she wouldn't. Austin or Stewart would.
