Although I like Julie, I like Jim Bacon more, and so it'll be a shame too see him sidelined.

Jim, Phil and Chris, who have been filling in this year all work for WeatherQuest. I would only assume they can only work so much for the BBC because of their commitments.

Will be interesting to see what they do for Julie's maternity. Will they bring a weather presenter in on a fixed term contract or will they ask WeatherQuest to cover.

After all this time (as in cover for Julie after all these years), I can see them continuing to bring in WeatherQuest

It would seem appropriate. Jim and Phil are obviously both known to viewers in the area.

The forecasters such as Jim Bacon do present the weather with more authority than Julie does.

Why do you need a weather presenter "with authority"?

At the end of tonight's Anglia Tonight, it was announced that Rhiannon Mills was "off to pastures new". Does anyone know where she's going?

I wouldn't be surprised if Sara Thornton returns to Norwich, seeing as she covered for Trai Anfield at Look North NE&C and currently at BBC South covering for Georgie Palmer.

Did anyone see todays (13/09/10) Lunchtime BBC Look East, who presented the weather?

Edit: a Lady with curly hair? Had several moments where she stumbled over her words, lost her earpiece and contradicted herself.

Jim presented the evening forecast.

She seems ok and a lot less 'wet' than Jules, but I suppose Stuart needs a bit of skirt, so for a few weeks we have to get North and South mixed up etc...

I thought they would have gone down the route of having weather forecasters, as Jim Bacon seems to have trained up Chris, and there is also other Weather Quest forecaster Phil Garner who presents at times.
