Greetings from Dubai. You are a life saver. I love that little montage of caps above - it sums up the atmosphere perfectly. It indeed IS a pity that so many of those greats are no longer at ITN.

On a serious note, I wonder why they haven't asked back Sir Alistair and Sandy to do a small stint - perhaps not a full bulletin, but at least an interview or something.

Also, I hope at the end of the week, or at some point during the "celebrations", they will also pause to remember some of the ITN greats who are no longer with us...................Reginald Bosanquet. Leonard Parkin. Joan Thirkettle. Andrew Gardner. Terry Lloyd. Robin Day. Christopher Chataway.....to name but a few. And probably the most missed and lamented name of all.................ITN!

Awww I missed it...John/James, have you got the ITV50 segment and the end credits in motion please?

Really really good evening news tonight. It was so strange seeing Julia and Mark having a normal human conversation at a newsdesk. Also, the 'heyy' just before the ending sequence was quite entertaining. Plus the peck on the cheek.

why? are they not human? are they not allowed to talk? stop talking out of your bum, sir.

Meaning talking non news. Jeez, cut me some slack! You don't have to turn everything into an argument.

I'm very surprised that Carol Barnes has not been included in the line up. Selina was only at ITN for eighteen months .Never the less i am very much looking forward to seeing Selina she is my favourite ITN newsreader ever.

JOSH205 *tip* you could actually watch these programmes for yourself - then you wouldn't need to bother everyone on here endlessly asking for captures
THANKS
