Please **** off, you pleb.
This place was so much better when infants like you weren't here.
Whilst users are allowed to have there own views and opinions, there is a right and wrong way to make then. Swearing towards members is the wrong way, not to mention it takes a thread off topic.
Now back to the original topic, which was regarding the week of ITV News specials...

Ok, your opinion. But the man came accross as boring, and old fashioned. He didn't add any flavour or cement to the Evening News, and putting him on was a mistake.

Gordon was certainly different - and considering it's nearly 30 years since he left ITN, he did quite well.
Couldn't make my mind up about him though - he had authority, but I couldn't decide if he was good or bad, or posh or common!
Must say though I think Mark Austin has handled these reunion programmes far better than Mary.
Just hope ITV bosses don't get any ideas about future guest presenters for the news...
... though I believe Miss Piggy is currently in town!

Tommorow will certainly be interesting, seeing Anna Ford in the theatre of news, doing a presentation standing up.
What they ask her on the Lunchtime News will be interesting, especially if there's any banter about what she does for her current job.
Out of interest, has Anna Ford been on the One as normal this week?

Andrew, Anna was definitely on the One O'Clock News earlier in the week. I know that Darren Jordon did the programme yesterday, but I'm not sure about today.

I doubt she would get the week off considdering that Gordon today was supposed to have only an hour to get ready before the broadcast plus being in at 12:30 for the interview.
I really want to see Anna on it tomorrow evening, interesting to see her in a totally different enviorment

I admire all those who participated this week. It must have been daunting for them. They are all good sports.
As for what star has sparkled the most, well I'd have to say that Julia presented the best - so far. Her on screen chemistry with Mark Austin made it look effortless. Personally, I felt that Selina Scott made the best comments - so far.
Yet I suspect Anna's turn will be interesting. I also wonder who Mark and Mary would rate. It would be interesting to hear their thoughts too.
This has certainly been a great week at ITV News.

I don't usually watch ITV News, but I have to say that this week's bulletins have been EXTREMELY structured and rigid in the way they're presented. Compare all the bulletins and they use the same camera shots, same moves, same backgrounds. Possibly to let the old gummers adjust, I'm not sure.
